Assistant Project Manager
*Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a great client of ours that supports within the leisure and hospitality sector. This role is ideal for individuals transitioning from a trade or site-based background to an office-based project management career. The successful candidate will benefit from structured training, clear progression paths, and hands-on exposure to live projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Work closely with senior Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
*Assist in the planning and delivery of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
*Conduct site visits, surveys, and progress inspections to ensure projects are on track.
*Support cost control, procurement activities, and coordination of subcontractors.
*Help prepare and monitor project programmes and schedules.
*Attend site and progress meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and quality standards.
*Manage variations, project documentation, and reporting requirements effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Relevant industry experience in a site-based or trade role (e.g., Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Qualified Tradesperson).
*Essential certifications: SSSTS or SMSTS.
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
*Full, clean UK driving licence.
*Ability to commute daily to the office in Warlingham, Surrey.
*A long-term career mindset with ambition to progress into a Project Manager role.
