Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a passionate and nurturing EYFS SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in North London supporting young children with learning disabilities, autism, and additional developmental needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about early childhood development and committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
You will teach within an Early Years setting, supporting young learners who require a highly personalised and structured approach to learning. Class sizes are small, allowing you to focus on each child’s individual development and progress.
The role focuses on developing communication, social interaction, sensory engagement, and early learning skills through play-based and structured activities.
Key responsibilities include:
*Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
*Supporting children in developing communication, early literacy, and social skills
*Creating a structured, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
*Using visual supports, sensory resources, and differentiated teaching approaches
*Monitoring and assessing progress against individual learning targets and EHCP outcomes
*Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to support pupils’ development
The Ideal Candidate
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience teaching within EYFS or Early Years education
*Knowledge or experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism or learning disabilities
*A nurturing, patient and creative teaching approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
Teachers from mainstream, special school, or SEND settings with a passion for early years development are encouraged to apply.
