Job Description:
Our client:
*Well-renowned supplier of non-food products, predominantly within home & DIY channel making inroads in the market
*Products are innovative, unique and tailored specifically for all customers across a mix of brand & private-label
*Business supply a number of key retail channels including DIY retail, grocery, high street, online and trade customers
*Culturally it’s a supportive, inclusive business with strong values and can demonstrate a number of long-standing employees
*Implementing a number of employee based working policies to further enhance the culture of the business
*Great opportunity to join the Trade team as Commercial Manager working on trade accounts
The role:
*Managing and developing a number of key trade customers for the business
*These may include Wolseley, Jewsons, Travis Perkins, Fortis, Huws Gray and buying groups for example
*Work closely with Head of Trade Sales to develop this area and nurture relationships along with developing new business
*Products are Home & DIY led with a strong heritage and reliability levels across the industry
*Need to work in a collaborative manner with all customers, develop and nurture long-term relationships from scratch
*Be entrepreneurial, a self-starter and able to manage your own workload effectively
*Mix of Field-based, home working and managing customers at both head office and local level
Ideal candidate:
*Ideally will have operated in the DIY, Bathroom, Construction or a closely related industry
*Experience of managing the trade accounts at head office level as per those listed above would be preferable
*Be highly personable, a strong relationships builder and want to be part of a long-standing team and growing business
*Want to join a progressive, forward-thinking large organization with stability and ambitious plans
*Able to work autonomously, travel regularly and manage your own diary effectively
*The role will be a mix of field-based, travel to customer head office with home-working
