Accounts Receivable Assistant
Stevenage, Hertfordshire
£27,000 – £30,000 per annum
Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch)
StormX Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established business in Stevenage who are looking to add an Accounts Receivable Assistant to their finance team.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a busy office environment and is looking to build on their experience within a finance / accounts receivable function.
Key Responsibilities
*Importing transaction reports into the finance system
*Daily reconciliations and investigating variances
*Handling card disputes with card providers
*Cash collection reporting and tracking refunds
*Monthly analysis of card transaction balances
*Liaising with cash collection providers to arrange collections and resolve disputes
*Supporting monthly charging issued to centres for missing stock
*Assisting with debt recovery from the debtors list
*Allocating funds received via the bank
*Supporting the filing of court claims where required
*Reconciling Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) accounts
*Setting up new customers on the finance system, including credit checks
*Participating in a reception rota (answering calls and welcoming visitors)
*Supporting the accounts receivable team with ad hoc duties
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
*Have previous experience working in a busy office or finance environment
*Be organised with the ability to manage their own workload
*Have strong communication skills
*Be comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
*Have good Word and Excel skills (Excel experience preferred)
This role reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
