Executive Assistant to Managing Director

Job Description:
We are recruiting for a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Assistant to support the Group Managing Director of a successful, expanding, family-run group of companies operating across recycling, waste management, haulage, construction and mechanical services.
This is a key role within the organisation, providing trusted, right-hand support to the Managing Director and ensuring smooth coordination across multiple business areas. Key Responsibilities
*Managing the Managing Director’s diary, schedule and priorities
*Booking meetings, travel, accommodation, restaurants and client hospitality
*Handling incoming calls, emails and messages, filtering and prioritising where appropriate
*Preparing documents, reports, meeting notes and reminders
*Supporting with expenses, paperwork and general administrative tasks
*Coordinating with the wider leadership team across the group
*Organising logistics for meetings, site visits and client engagements
*Attending board meetings and taking accurate minutes
*Attending ad hoc site visits and producing clear notes
*Representing the business professionally at exhibitions and events
*Providing occasional out-of-hours support (rare—approx. 1–2 times per month) for urgent travel or booking requests

*£35,000 – £43,000 DOE + flexibility for exceptional experience

Candidate Requirements
*We are looking for an Executive Assistant who can operate confidently, independently and professionally at senior level.
*Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, PA, or Senior Administrator supporting senior leadership
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
*Excellent written and verbal communication
*Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
*Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*High level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism
*Confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders
*Experience supporting Directors, business owners or board-level leaders is highly advantageous
*Ability to respond efficiently to occasional urgent requests outside standard hours
*A DBS check will be required (paid for by the employer)
