Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller and Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

*Recording chase notes in the monthly collections tracker and escalating problematic debts to fee earners
*Maintaining the credit control mailbox and liaising with staff across multiple offices to resolve cash collection issues
*Reducing trust and credit balances, and raising interest invoices when appropriate
*Administering electronic billing processes for clients, troubleshooting e-billing issues, and maintaining process documentation
*Managing a portfolio of assigned clients, tracking accounts and payment status, and following a strict debt-chasing process
*Sending chaser emails and letters, updating systems, and maintaining strong client relationships
*Working closely with fee earners to resolve billing issues and handle e-billing submissions and invoice rejections

What you will need:

*At least 2 years’ experience in a credit control position (Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist or similar), ideally within a professional services environment
*Strong Excel skills and a confident telephone manner
*Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work both remotely and in the office
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
*Good time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines
