Accounts Assistant – Motor Trade
Location: Crawley
Our client is a highly successful and well-established business within the motor trade, operating a network of dealerships across the UK. With their head office ideally located in Crawley, they continue to experience significant growth and are now looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
Reporting directly to the Dealership Accountant, this role offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and fast-paced finance department, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities*Processing supplier invoices accurately onto the Kerridge finance system
*Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
*Preparing and processing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
*Managing bank accounts, petty cash and cash books
*Producing financial reports and extracting data from the Kerridge system
*Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties as required
About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a finance environment, particularly within purchase ledger or general accounts, and will be comfortable working as part of a busy team.
Skills & Experience*Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
*Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not essential):
*Experience within the motor trade sector
*Knowledge of the Kerridge (Dealer Management System)
