Food Technology Teacher - Secondary School, Northampton
Location: Northampton
Start Date: April or September 2026
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Salary: Competitive daily rate / MPS-UPS (dependent on experience)

We are partnering with a secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from April or September 2026. This role is open to full-time or part-time candidates, making it a great opportunity for experienced teachers or ECTs to deliver engaging, practical lessons in a supportive department.
The Role:*Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
*Teach practical cooking skills, nutrition, food science, and health & safety
*Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safe working practices
*Assess, track, and support student progress
*Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
*Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
The Ideal Candidate:*Holds QTS or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status
*Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology or a related field
*Confident managing practical lessons in a busy classroom environment
*Organised, with excellent classroom management skills
*Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student progress
*Previous experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is advantageous
