About the Role
The Orchard is a small, supportive specialist provision designed to meet the needs of children with a range of social, emotional, and communication difficulties. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and enjoy their school experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with Special Educational Needs
*Supporting children with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and behaviour
*Assisting the class teacher in delivering a personalised, differentiated curriculum
*Helping create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
*Using strategies and resources to promote independence and positive behaviour
*Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
*Supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEND profiles
*Working in specialist or mainstream education settings
*Using communication aids, visual supports, or regulation strategies
*Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour management
