SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support
An outstanding mainstream primary school in Haringey are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role would fit perfectly for a psychology Graduate who is looking for hands- on experience working with Special Educational Needs alongside the opportunity to work within education. You will gain exposure to working alongside external professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapist and Assistant Psychologists as well as working with the schools SENCO.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children with SEN/ Additional Needs on a 1:1 basis specifically supporting children with Autism. Although, you will mostly be in mainstream classrooms supporting students there will be requirements to provide pastoral mentoring to students outside of lessons to ensure they remain happy and ready to learn.
