Senior Project Manager – The Role:


The business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects within a growing national projects division.


This role offers the opportunity to manage technically demanding projects while influencing project delivery standards, governance and operational performance across a large portfolio of work.


Senior Project Manager – Key Responsibilities:


- Lead the delivery of complex engineering or construction projects from initiation through to completion
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Manage project teams, subcontractors and key supply chain partners
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation and programme management
- Monitor project financial performance including forecasting, cost control and margin delivery
- Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks across the project lifecycle
- Ensure robust project governance, reporting and documentation standards are maintained
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project delivery function
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and operational excellence


Senior Project Manager – You:


- Proven experience delivering complex construction, engineering or building services projects
- Experience managing projects with values up to £10M–£20M or managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of the construction and M&E ecosystem including main contractors and subcontractors
- Demonstrated ability to manage project teams and coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasting and project profitability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving capability
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate project teams and drive delivery performance
