Tewkesbury | 3 Days per Week (Tue-Thu) | £DOE | Permanent
If you’re an Assistant Accountant looking for part-time hours, variety, and ownership over your workload, this opportunity offers exactly that.
You’ll take responsibility for the full accounting function of a small property entity, while also supporting the wider finance team across a range of operational tasks. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys accuracy, consistency, and autonomy.

Your key focus areas
Entity Accounting
*Posting receipts and payments, completing weekly bank reconciliations
*Raising sales invoices (rent, ad hoc charges) + managing debt collection
*Maintaining rental schedules, tenant information and lease dates
*Month-end journals: prepayments, accruals and intercompany
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations with supporting detail
*Producing trial balance for group management accounts
*Supporting annual audit requirements
*Preparing annual rent invoices and associated schedules
Business Support
*Processing intake data into internal systems
*Completing supplier statement reconciliations
*Raising sundry sales invoices
*Credit control duties across the sales ledger
*Posting weekly expenses and supplier costs
*Uploading purchase ledger BACS runs to the bank
*Supporting wider finance tasks as required
What you’ll bring
*AAT Level 3 or 4 preferred (or strong experience)
*Good IT skills (Excel & Word) Sage 200 experience beneficial
*High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
*Comfortable owning tasks and working independently
*A team-oriented approach with willingness to help colleagues
