Job Description:
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)
Rate: £400-£450 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Length: 6 months
OverviewWe are proud to be partnering with a global charitable organisation to seek a technically strong Finance Business Partner to support financial analysis, risk assessment, and assurance activities within a large, complex organisation. This role focuses on due diligence, financial risk, and project oversight, with a light-touch, supportive involvement in month-end processes. It is well suited to someone early in their post-qualified career who is confident with financial data and comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver financial due diligence and detailed financial analysis for projects and funding decisions.
*Perform finance risk assessments on major initiatives and recommend mitigating actions.
*Review and assess payments for large and complex organisational projects.
*Provide supportive month-end input within a specific area (not owning the process).
*Contribute to business cases, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
*Ensure appropriate financial controls and compliance requirements are met.
*Identify opportunities for process improvement and support their implementation.
*Work collaboratively across teams, involving the right stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
Skills & Experience*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with 1-2 years PQE (part-qualified accountants will not be considered)
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and confidence reviewing financial information.
*Excellent analytical skills, particularly for financial and risk assessment work.
*Experience in a month-end-focused accounting role.
*Some experience supporting stakeholders or management accounting activities.
*Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
*Experience with finance systems (e.g. ERP, planning or reporting tools) desirable.
Personal Attributes*Organised, delivery-focused, and able to manage own workload.
*Comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-functional team.
*Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
*Confident engaging with different departments and building effective working relationships.
