Role: Accountant
Location: Keighley
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 pa
Type: Full time: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Our client, a well established accountancy practice, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders to partnerships and limited companies, with potential for progression for the right candidate. This position provides the opportunity to develop your expertise in a client focused practice where you will gain exposure to a varied range of work. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values professional growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities as Accountant:
*Managing client communications and addressing accounting related enquiries.
*Compiling financial accounts from various sources, including incomplete records and digital platforms.
*Preparing and filing corporate and personal tax returns.
*Overseeing and mentoring junior team members by reviewing their work.
*Setting up and maintaining new client profiles.
*Providing assistance with VAT submissions and bookkeeping tasks during high-demand periods.
*Undertaking miscellaneous projects and tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
*Current/ prior experience within a UK based qualified firm of Accountants
*Proficiency in accounting software
*Advanced working knowledge of Excel
*Excellent communication, organisational and attention to detail skills
*Strong ability to work independently, manage deadlines and drive new business opportunities
*ACA or ACCA qualifications (desirable)
