Job Title: Part Time Accounts Assistant (School Hours)
Location: Shipley
Hours: flexible, typically between 9:30am – 2:30pm
Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 FTE
The Opportunity
A growing and friendly business based in Shipley is looking to appoint a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support the finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking for school-hour flexibility, while still playing a key role within a busy finance function.
You’ll be working closely with the finance team supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts department, making this a great opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who enjoys a varied role in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders
*Managing supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
*Assisting with supplier payments
*Processing sales invoices and supporting the credit control function
*Bank reconciliations
*Supporting with general finance administration
*Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
*Assisting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks when required
About You
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger role
*Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Good communication skills and confident dealing with colleagues and suppliers
*Comfortable using accounting systems and Excel
*Organised with the ability to manage workload independently
