Job Description:
Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical)- Solar Energy Project
Location: Leicestershire
Start Date: From July 26
Duration: 14 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Engagement: Contract
We are supporting our client in securing an experienced Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical ) to support a major Solar energy construction project. This role is ideal for professionals with strong civil/mechanical engineering expertise and practical on site experience within large scale infrastructure or energy projects.
Key Requirements
*Civil Engineering qualification
*Minimum 3 years’ relevant site experience, including:
*Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety
*Experience in general civil construction, reinforcement detailing, and checking
*Renewable energy project experience preferred (substations, cable installation, inverter/PV installation, civil BoP works)
*SMSTS or NEC4 Supervision accreditation (or equivalent)
*Full UK driving license
Role Responsibilities
The Site Supervisor will support project delivery through comprehensive on site oversight, including:
Construction Supervision
*Monitor site progress against programme and prepare review reports
*Assess work quality, including pre/post-concrete inspections
*Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and approved RAMS
*Review contractor documentation such as RAMS, TMP and CMP
Project Support
*Contribute to monthly progress meetings and reporting
*Maintain trackers for construction activities and deliveries
*Assist the Project Manager with EPC/ICP contract obligations
*Support in assessing milestone applications
Health, Safety & Quality
*Conduct H&S audits/observations
*Report and log NCRs
*Perform snagging and coordinate close out with contractors
Commissioning & Interfaces
*Monitor mechanical and civil commissioning activities
*Support Project Manager with third party interfaces
*Assist in applications for Provisional Acceptance Certificates
Environmental & Compliance
*Ongoing review of planning conditions and consents
*Liaise with Environmental Clerk of Works as required
