Senior Accountant / Management Accountant – 12-Week Temp Contract
Location: Central Birmingham (2 days in Office)
Qualification:CIMA / ACCA / ACA essential
Split: 50% Audit / 50% Management Accounts

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a busy finance team during a critical period. This 12-week assignment requires a confident, qualified professional who can deliver across audit, controls, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the 2025 audit: prepare/review working papers, reconciliations, supporting evidence.
*Produce accurate monthly management accounts and Q1 reporting.
*Maintain internal financial controls, ensuring reconciliations and system controls are completed accurately and on time.
*Lead annual statutory accounts preparation and liaise with internal/external auditors.
*Manage quarterly forecasting and variance analysis.
*Oversee daily income reconciliations and investigate issues promptly.
*Support financial system upgrades, SOP reviews, and financial policy updates.
*Assist FP&A and senior finance leadership with budgeting and project work.
*Provide resilience for senior finance staff, including cover for the Financial Controller.
About You
*Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA (non-negotiable)
*Strong background in audit and management accounts
*Excellent understanding of financial controls and statutory reporting
*Able to work independently and manage competing deadlines
