1:1 Teaching Assistant - Primary | Birmingham Location: South Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
Role: 1:1 Support for a child with physical disabilities
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged child who has physical disabilities in a welcoming and inclusive Birmingham primary school.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional physical needs and ensuring they can access learning, move safely around school and feel fully included in school life.
The Role*Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
*Assist the child with mobility needs, including transitions between classrooms and outdoor areas
*Support engagement in lessons, group work and classroom activities
*Promote independence and confidence while ensuring safety
*Work collaboratively with the teacher, SENCO and external professionals
*Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the pupil
What We’re Looking For*Experience supporting children with SEND or physical needs
*A calm, patient and supportive approach
*Someone physically capable of providing mobility support safely
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
