Job Description:
We are partnered with a financial client who are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support payments technology change across multiple financial domains.
This is a contract role based in Chester 3 days per week. 6month duration initially.
Key Responsibilities*Define end-to-end solution architecture and non-functional requirements.
*Shape high-level designs and guide delivery teams.
*Ensure solutions align with tech strategy and standards.
*Review designs, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience*Strong expertise in Corporate Payments and major payment schemes (SEPA, FPS, CHAPS, SWIFT).
*Regulatory change experience (PSD2/3, ISO 20022, Open Banking).
*API design, microservices, integration platforms.
*Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes.
*Knowledge of Java, .NET, Python, JS/TS.
*Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
*10+ years in financial services technology.
Desired*TOGAF, Cloud Architect, or AI certifications.
*Degree in Computer Science or similar.
