Job Description:
We are currently working with a forward-thinking organisation based in Derby who are looking to recruit a stock control administrator to join their team. Reporting into the Operations Director you will be responsible for inventory accuracy, updating computer systems, processes orders, and conducts audits to maintain optimal stock levels.
Experience of reconciling stock discrepancies and coordinating with suppliers would be an advantage along with Strong attention to detail and intermediate Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
*Inventory Accuracy: Conducting regular stock counts to ensure system records match physical stock.
*System Administration: Updating inventory management systems with new, moved, or dispatched stock data.
*Record Keeping: Processing delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes accurately.
*Discrepancy Resolution: Investigating stock losses or gains and adjusting records accordingly.
*Reporting: Compiling daily/weekly inventory reports, including monitoring minimum/maximum stock levels and identifying slow-moving items.
*Order Management: Placing orders for stock replenishment and liaising with suppliers regarding discrepancies.
*Quality Control: Managing damaged or returned stock, ensuring proper disposal or restocking.
Required Skills and Qualifications
*Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data manipulation) and email, as well as experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
*Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and recording.
*Experience: Previous experience in a stock control, administration, or warehouse environment.
*Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and warehouse staff.
*Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.
