We’re working with a long-standing and successful business in the Batley area who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant / Finance Manager into a key position within their finance team. This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting seven separate entities across the group. It’s not just about producing numbers; it’s about understanding them, challenging them and using them to support better business decisions. You’ll work closely with operational managers, providing insight and building strong working relationships across the organisation.
You’ll oversee a team of five within finance. Previous management experience isn’t essential. If you’ve supported junior team members, reviewed work or naturally taken ownership of processes, this role offers a genuine opportunity to step into a broader leadership position.
Whether you’re part-qualified and actively studying ACCA/CIMA, AAT qualified, or fully experienced in a similar level role, you’ll be considered. What’s most important is that you have end to end experience of the management accounts and cashflow process.

Key Responsibilities:
*Preparation and review of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
*Producing financial packs with commentary and variance analysis
*Business partnering with operational stakeholders
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
*Reviewing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting year-end audit processes
*Identifying and implementing process improvements
*Overseeing and supporting a team of five within the finance function
What we’re looking for:
*Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (actively studying), AAT qualified or strong experience at a similar level
*Strong month-end and management accounts experience
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
*Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
*Organised, proactive and keen to take ownership
