Job Description:
Join our innovative and collaborative team at a leading buying group for building materials. We are looking for a Telesales and Customer Service Representative who is resilient, possesses strong communication skills, and has the ability to build rapport with our members. This role involves promoting our product offerings, selling building materials, and resolving service queries in line with agreed service level agreements.
*Annual Salary: £25,000
*Location: Milton Keynes
*Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00)
Day-to-day of the role:
*Sell own brand building materials and related products to members, ensuring clear communication of features and benefits.
*Handle inbound and outbound calls to support members with product information, promotions, and deal with service queries.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with members through excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
*Resolve service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
*Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
*Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-up actions.
*Demonstrate flexibility to take on new responsibilities as the role evolves.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Hard-working and resilient with a positive, proactive attitude.
*Excellent communication and listening skills.
*Ability to build rapport and trust with members.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*A great team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Adaptable and willing to learn new skills and processes.
*Previous experience in telesales and customer service is highly desirable.
*Familiarity with building materials or merchant sector is an advantage.
*Competence in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and applications).
