Legal Cashier - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous legal cashiering experience, who possesses excellent attention to detail and accuracy, to contribute to a high-performing team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations and compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Monitor online banking systems and review the banking inbox daily.
*Support the billing process and manage daily client-to-office account transfers in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
*Handle telephone and email enquiries and process invoice payments via the online virtual payment portal.
*Work closely with fee earners, secretaries, and colleagues within the cashiering team to provide accurate and timely financial support.
*Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the implementation of new finance software.
*Support the finance team during the transition from the current system to a new, workflow-driven platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous legal cashiering experience is essential.
*Strong understanding of client and office account requirements.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*Good working knowledge of Word and Excel and the ability to quickly adapt to various in-house systems.
*Confidence in handling transactional finance work and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
*A positive, adaptable approach, particularly during periods of change.
