Finance Manager - £45.000 - Reading
Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, payroll, and compliance within a student-focused organisation. The role supports senior leadership with financial planning and ensures strong financial management practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare monthly management accounts and support annual financial statements.
*Manage cash flow, reconciliations, and financial records.
*Support budget setting, forecasting, and financial planning.
*Provide financial advice to budget holders and senior management.
*Oversee financial operations, including invoicing, payments, and system management.
*Manage monthly payroll processes.
*Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and financial control requirements, including statutory returns and VAT.
*Maintain risk controls, asset registers, and financial procedures.
*Line manage finance staff and promote effective financial practices across the organisation.
