Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting a Store Manager to lead one of their largest food retail stores, a high-volume and fast-paced trading environment. The store includes a large food retail operation, in-store online/e-commerce fulfilment.

Responsibilities of this Store Manager position:
*Oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-volume food retail store, delivering sales, margin, waste, and labor targets.
*Ensure compliance with all operational, legal, and safety standards.
*Lead and develop a team of around 100 + colleagues/200-250 k per week turnover (day & twlightshift), including managers and supervisors.
*Driving performance through coaching and clear expectations.
*Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning within the store.
*leading a large refit while maintaining trading performance and strong colleague engagement.
*Use customer feedback and insights to improve service and standards.
*Lead store redevelopment/refit while maintaining trading performance and supporting colleagues through change.
*Collaborate with senior leadership on trials, initiatives, and operational improvements.
*Ensure strong product availability, merchandising, and store presentation.
*Monitor KPIs and trading data to drive performance and maximise opportunities.
To be successful in this Store Manager position:
*Ideally 5 + years’ experience within retail management
*Flexible & open to relocation!
*Must be operating now or previously as a Store Manager in a supermarket or large convenience environment
*Experience managing store refits or major change while trading is desirable but not essential
*Level 5 (HND & above) qualification required
*Proven ability to lead teams and complex store operations.
*Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
*Commercially aware with a good understanding of P&L, labour, and retail KPIs.
*Resilient and adaptable, able to lead in a fast-paced environment.
