Job Description:
Job Title: Fettler & Finisher
Location(s): Basingstoke
Monday - Thursday
Friday
As part of our Fabrication & Finishing team, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing and finishing high-quality manufactured components. Working closely with the Team Leader, you’ll help ensure every item meets our quality standards through careful fettling, polishing, and finishing. This is a great opportunity for someone energetic, practical, and eager to learn within a busy manufacturing environment. You will need a good level of fitness and be prepared to work in confined spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
*Fettling and deburring of stainless steel and mild steel items.
*Cabinet and booth bead blasting of stainless-steel items.
*Prepare, pre-polish stainless steel items ready for finish polishing.
*Use of handheld equipment as applicable in the execution of tasks.
*Work to written manufacturing instructions.
*Maintain a good safe working environment as appropriate for the execution of tasks.
*Use of power tools and various equipment.
*Provide support and assistance to other areas of the business as requested from time to time.
Skills & Experience:
*Experience in a workshop or production environment is helpful but not essential.
*Familiarity with jib cranes, overhead cranes, or forklift trucks is an advantage training can be provided.
*Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
*Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces when needed.
*A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well as part of a team.

Minimum academic level required:
GCSE English
