Desian Education is proud to be supporting a single-form entry mainstream primary school in St Helens that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a motivated and reliable learning support assistant to join their team on a long-term full-time temporary basis. This supportive school require full-time support with an immediate start available to support pupils and deliver targeted interventions to SEN pupils across KS1 and KS2.


Your new role
*Comprehensive 1:1 support for pupils with SEN including ASD, LD, and behavioural needs
*Delivering targeted 1:1 interventions in core subjects, behavioural and communication
*Supporting with phonics and guided reading
*Integrating into new pupil groups
*Liaising with the SENCO on pupil progress and recognising key-milestones
*Supporting during break and lunch-times


What you need to succeed
*Full "Right to Work" in the UK
*Have a DBS on the update service or willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
*Have experience supporting SEN
*Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
*Be able to commit to a full-time temporary contract (32.5 hours per week)
