Job Description:
About the Role
Hue Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time, permanent position involving multi-drop deliveries of construction materials across the Hertfordshire area.
Key Responsibilities
*Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with licensing and company regulations
*Assist with the safe loading and unloading of construction materials
*Complete multi-drop deliveries according to scheduled routes across the local area
*Maintain accurate records of journey times, mileage, and working hours
*Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
*Operate tachograph equipment in accordance with legal requirements
*Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
*Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements
*HGV Category C licence (essential)
*Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
*HIAB / ALLMI certification (preferred)
*Good understanding of transport regulations and safety procedures
*Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude
*Strong customer service skills
Working Hours
*Monday to Friday: 06:45am – 16:15pm (1-hour break)
*Overtime during the week paid at time and a quarter
*Saturday overtime paid at time and a half
*Sociable hours with no overnight stays or late evenings
