Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an organised and motivated Accounting Clerk to join a values-driven organisation within the social care sector. This role supports financial processes, office operations, and contributes to high-quality service delivery. This is a ongoing, temporary assignment with view of going permanent for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
*Raise, track, and record invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
*Process accounts payable and receivable.
*Complete monthly bank and ledger reconciliations.
*Ensure compliance with financial standards and audit requirements.
*Support preparation of financial statements and reports.
*Use accounting tools such as SAGE and Excel effectively.
*Maintain organised filing systems for financial documentation.
*Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve finance queries.
When working in the Social Care Sector, maintaining a warm, positive approach to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs means everything. You must be value-driven, person-centred and able to communicate openly with colleagues to support effective teamwork.
Skills & Knowledge
*AAT qualified or with a Degree in Accounting & Finance - essential
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
*Proficiency with bookkeeping software.
*Excellent mathematical ability.
*Ability to learn new systems quickly.
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
*Strong written and verbal communication.
*Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines.
*Confident working independently on complex tasks.
