Academics is working with a network of secondary schools across Staffordshire & Cheshire East, including Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford and Crewe, who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable part-time Cover Supervisors to step into the classroom and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with management experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a flexible role.
The Role:*Lead lessons in teacher’s absence (KS3-KS4)
*Deliver work that has already been prepared for you
*Keep pupils engaged and behaviour on track
*Complete a simple handover at the end of the lesson
*No planning or marking
What We’re Looking For:*2+ months’ experience working with young people
**Sports Coaching or Youth Work
*Drama / Art / Music Workshops
*Summer Camps / Holiday Clubs
*Scouts / Guides / Duke of Edinburgh
*Outdoor Activity Instruction

*Strong communication and management skills
*Confidence to manage classroom behaviour!
*Ability to build positive relationships and set clear boundaries
*A flexible, reliable and proactive attitude
