Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant - Wolverhampton
We are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Wolverhampton supporting pupils aged 5-19 with ASC and SEMH needs. This is a permanent, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with pay between £12.87-£14.03 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Salary is paid pro rata across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent monthly pay throughout the year, including school holidays.
You will support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping with learning, wellbeing, behaviour management, and personal development in a calm, nurturing environment. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning and promote positive engagement in education.
We are looking for someone who has:
* Experience working with SEN children or young people
* Strong behaviour management skills
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/Level 3 or above)
* A patient, adaptable, and child-centred approach
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and full UK driving licence are desirable.
