Financial Reporting Accountant
I am recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant for a private equity backed multi-site client based in Central London. My client has grown significantly through acquisitions, and they are in the process of re-engineering their finance function which includes the insourcing of the statutory accounting function. This brand-new position offers you the opportunity to shape and strengthen statutory reporting across a rapidly scaling PE-backed multisite real estate business. It is a high impact position with direct access to both senior leadership and investors.
Key responsibilities:
*Support the end-to-end production of statutory accounts for the Group under IFRS as well as maintaining the Group consolidation.
*Maintain and update Group accounting policies in line with any IFRS and FRS 101 developments.
*Prepare technical accounting papers for areas such as leases, revenue, impairment, financial instruments, business combinations, and going concern.
*Support month-end and quarter-end close on technically complex areas feeding into external reporting.
*Help plan, coordinate, and deliver the annual audit across multiple entities under tight timelines.
*Provide additional support to certain Treasury function tasks including cash flow reporting, payment runs and liquidity management.
*Work with the wider finance team to ensure strong control frameworks and reliable reporting.
Your profile:
*Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 3 years post qualified experience.
*Background in external audit at a top 10 practice would be preferred. In addition you must have relevant multisector sector experience – real estate, property, hospitality.
*Experience of a similar role in a similar sized organisation.
Demonstrable knowledge of financial controls, audit, and compliance requirements.
A minimum of four days per week based at their Central London HQ.
