Ocean Freight Operator - Requirements
*Experience in OCEAN working for a freight forwarder is essential
*Sound understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics capabilities for ocean import & export
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to interact at all level
*Managing reports and providing clients with regular updates on costs, opportunities and contract performance
*Import documentation experience
*Customs clearance documentation experience would be advantageous
Ocean Freight Operator - Responsibilities
*Coordinate sea freight quotes and bookings from initial request through to final delivery, selecting the most suitable services and routes
*Source and review supplier rates from carriers, NVOCCs, co-loaders and overseas agents, ensuring accurate pricing and margins
*Arrange collections, book cargo, and monitor shipments through key milestones while keeping customers and internal teams informed
*Prepare and check shipping documentation, support import/export customs clearance, and issue booking confirmations or arrival notices when required
*Maintain accurate operational records, resolve service or supplier issues, and build strong relationships with carriers and overseas partners
