Job Description:
Interim Accountant - Immediate Start
Location: Leicester (On-site)
Rate: £200-£250 per day
Contract: 2-3 months
About the Role
We’re supporting a Leicester-based organisation seeking an experienced Interim Accountant who can join immediately and provide essential support during a busy period. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident, reliable, and capable of working independently from day one.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure smooth financial operations
*Handle month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
*Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
*Support the production of management accounts
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
*Assist with any ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
Skills & Experience Required
*Strong, proven experience as an Accountant in a similar hands-on role
*A genuine safe pair of hands-able to hit the ground running
*Proficiency with Sage 50 (essential)
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
*Available immediately and comfortable working fully on-site
