Full-Time Senior Care Support Worker / Primary Care Manager – St Neots
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week | Non–live-in
Shifts: Various shifts across seven days per week
We are a private family seeking an experienced, compassionate Senior Care Support Worker to act as Primary Care Manager for a vibrant elderly lady living in St Neots. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who truly values dignity, independence, and person-centered care, and who brings warmth, patience, and a good sense of humour to their work.
This is a hands-on care position combined with additional responsibility for overseeing and coordinating care provision. You will act as the main point of contact for care resources, liaising closely with family members, carers, agencies, and medical professionals, while managing associated administration.

Key Responsibilities
*Delivering high-quality personal and intimate care while upholding dignity and respect
*Managing care provision, including coordination of three additional carers and external care agencies
*Acting as the primary liaison with medical teams, physiotherapists, and support services
*Overseeing medical appointments, hospital visits, transport arrangements, and care schedules
*Supporting mobility and encouraging physical activity
*Assisting with getting in and out of vehicles and accompanying to appointments and social outings
*Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
*Preparing meals and assisting with cooking
*Undertaking light housekeeping and domestic duties
*Supporting overall health, wellbeing, safety, and quality of life
*Overseeing property, equipment maintenance, and security related to care needs
Working Hours
*45 hours per week
*Typically worked across three daily shifts over a 7-day period
*Approximate shift times: 9:00am, 12:00pm, and 6:00pm (around two hours per shift)
*This is a non–live-in position
Essential Requirements
*Proven professional experience in senior care, health, or support work
*NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
*Previous experience managing care schedules and coordinating care resources
*Must live locally in St Neots
*Full, valid UK driving licence and confidence assisting someone in and out of a vehicle
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A kind, patient, positive approach with a good sense of humour
*Ability to build a trusted, respectful relationship with both the client and family
