Trainee Production Operative required for our Sudbury based manufacturing client. It is not necessary to possess previous production and/or manufacturing experience although this would be ideal, but it is more important that you are happy to work in a busy, noisy factory environment and keen to progress in a new career. If you are keen to work in a creative production environment, working with a great team, this is a fantastic role for you to begin your career. The role
*Loading designs into the loom
*Listening and learning from the team
*Selecting and threading up the correct yarns for the order
*Responsible for the careful placement of completed orders onto the transport racks
*Weaving orders with careful checking throughout for weaving, yarn or other faults against a standard
*Amending and weaving sample orders
*Correction of weaving issues as they are identified and the repair of broken threads
*This is a shift-based role on an annualised hours plan
The Person
*Happy to work in a busy, noisy factory environment
*Ideally some experience in production and/or manufacturing
*Happy to lift and move items
*Ability to read and understand written work instructions to weave fabric to the correct levels of quality and productivity.
*An eye for detail and colour to achieve a high level of quality
*Strong team player with a keenness to develop in their career
