The Company
We’re working with an early-stage technology company bringing digital transformation to traditionally manual supply chain and product data processes. They are looking for an experienced engineer who can balance hands-on engineering with technical strategy as the business moves through its next phase of growth.
This role suits someone who enjoys operating in a small but growing team, is motivated by building solutions, solving complex problems, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver. The environment is fast-paced, where priorities can evolve quickly and ambiguity is often part of the journey.
The successful candidate will be excited by the autonomy of an early-stage environment and the opportunity to shape the technical direction of a high-potential B2B SaaS platform. Longer term, the role offers the chance to build, manage, and lead a growing engineering team.

Key Technical Experience
Strong experience in most of the following areas:
*Azure (or deep experience with AWS / GCP and willingness to work with Azure)
*System architecture and scalable system design
*Event-driven architecture
*Full-stack development using:
*Next.js
*Nest.js
*Python
*PostgreSQL
*Terraform
*LLM-powered product workflows
*AI-assisted / LLM-enabled software development practices
*Docker and containerisation
*Web application security
*CI/CD pipelines
*Observability and APM
*Clean architecture principles
*Integration with third-party systems and APIs

Responsibilities
The role will involve a mix of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and strategic input.
You should be comfortable with:
*Requirements analysis and solution design
*Contributing to product roadmap planning and delivery management
*Delivering solutions for complex technical workflows
*Data migration planning and execution
*Designing and deploying complex product features
*Working directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and gather feedback
*Contributing to UI and UX thinking alongside product stakeholders
*Presenting technical concepts to internal teams and customers
*Participating in key stakeholder discussions and strategic planning
The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel across the UK for customer meetings, events, and team collaboration (all expensed).
