Alternative Provision Tutor - PrestonHourly Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Location: Preston and surrounding areas
Employer: Spencer Clarke Tutors
Spencer Clarke Tutors are expanding our team of dedicated Alternative Provision Tutors to support pupils outside of mainstream education. We provide high-quality, personalised tuition delivered either in the pupil’s home or within a suitable community setting.
About the RoleWe are looking for passionate, reliable tutors who can engage and inspire learners who may present with SEMH needs, SEND, or who are temporarily out of school. You will be delivering tailored 1:1 or small-group sessions that help pupils progress both academically and emotionally.
What We’re Looking For*Experience supporting children with additional needs or those in alternative provision
*QTS is desirable but not essential
*Strong behaviour-management and rapport-building skills
*Empathy, patience, and a pupil-centred approach
*Ability to plan and deliver bespoke learning programmes
*DBS on the Update Service (essential)
*Flexible availability during school hours
