Communication Support Assistant (BSL) - Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary academy in Nottingham to recruit a Communication Support Assistant to support students with hearing impairments and communication needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community where staff are committed to building strong relationships with students and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed academically and personally.
About the RoleAs a Communication Support Worker, you will play a key role in enabling students with hearing impairments to fully access the curriculum and school environment. Your responsibilities may include:
*Providing communication support for deaf or hearing-impaired students during lessons and school activities.
*Supporting students using British Sign Language (BSL) and other communication strategies where appropriate.
*Helping students access lesson content through adapted communication and learning strategies.
*Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to ensure effective inclusion within the classroom.
*Promoting student independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should:
*Have experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired students in an educational setting.
*Hold a British Sign Language (BSL) qualification or relevant communication support training.
*Have a strong understanding of inclusive education and SEND support practices.
*Be patient, supportive and committed to helping students reach their potential.
*Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
