Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator Opportunity in Andover with Leading Accident Repair Centre

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading independent automotive accident repair centre in Andover, seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator to join their expanding team. The Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator role is pivotal within their operations, offering excellent earning potential and long-term career prospects.

Duties:
*Prepare accurate, manual and computerised vehicle damage estimates in accordance with manufacturer, insurer, and customer specifications.
*Maintain detailed records of all estimates, ensuring work not yet authorised is flagged and monitored.
*Follow up on unauthorised estimates; investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
*Liaise with the bodyshop team to ensure repair work aligns with the estimates and obtain approval for any additional work.
*Communicate clearly with insurers, customers, and internal teams regarding vehicle status, including total loss decisions.
*Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations and internal policies.
*Keep vehicle repair documentation up-to-date and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the process.
*Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the damage assessment team.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator within the motor trade or accident repair industry.
*Audatex training/qualification is essential.
*Industry qualifications such as ATA are desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
*Strong understanding of vehicle repair procedures and estimating standards.
*Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
*Excellent communication, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
*Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
