Are you a qualified Computer Science Teacher or Computer Science specialist seeking an exciting opportunity in a secondary school in the Chelmsford area?
Athona Education is working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school in the Chelmsford area to appoint a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to start after Easter. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to secure their first teaching position.
We are seeking a fully qualified teacher with QTS who is enthusiastic about Computer Science education, demonstrates strong classroom practice, and has high expectations for student achievement.
The successful candidate will:
• Be passionate about Computer Science and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive Computer Science lessons for students of all abilities
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and high expectations of behaviour and progress
• Show a keen interest in the science of learning and a commitment to continuous professional development
• Possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a team
• Have the vision, energy, and commitment to contribute fully to wider school life
• Be motivated to make a positive and lasting impact on students’ lives and future opportunities
Requirements:
• A degree in Computer Science or a related subject
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS)
• Experience using online or digital teaching platforms
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
