Finance Officer (Temporary - Potential to Go Permanent)

A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated Finance Officer to join a forward-thinking organisation in Darlington. This is an initially temporary role with the genuine potential to become permanent for the right person. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial support across the Group, including:
*Delivering transactional finance services to the Group
*Preparing and submitting grant claim returns
*Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations
*Preparing VAT returns
*Providing financial support to Group departments and Directorates
*Collating information to support managers with budget preparation and monitoring
*Monitoring revenue and expenditure for internal projects
*Supporting month-end close processes
*Assisting with quarterly reporting
*Supporting the annual financial cycle
*Managing and responding to internal and external queries via the finance inbox
