GEM are working with a global automotive organisation to recruit a number of Fork Lift Drivers for their facility in Newton Aycliffe. Duties
*Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move goods safely
*Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas
*Transport goods to designated storage locations within a warehouse or site
*Stack and organize products in racks, shelves, or pallets
*Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is safe and operational
*Follow workplace safety rules and procedures
*Keep accurate records of inventory movements and deliveries
*Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labelling, and stock checks
*Report damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors


Experience and knowledge
*Valid forklift operator certification/licence
*Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
*Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
*Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
*Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
*Physical fitness and attention to safety
Additional Information
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Hours of work: Monday to Friday
*Days - 7am-3pm
*Backs – 3pm-11pm
Rates of pay:
*Days - £12.65 per hour
*Backs - £15.18 per hour
