Job Description:
A Domestic Electrical Testing Engineer
Contract – 3 - 6 months
8.00am -16.30pm with half an hour for lunch
Swindon
Salary is dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for A Domestic Electrical Testing Engineer to join our client based in Swindon.
Core Responsibilities
*Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in domestic homes.
*Perform electrical inspections to ensure compliance with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
*Carry out remedial works following failed or unsatisfactory EICRs.
*Diagnose electrical faults and complete corrective actions.
*Document findings using digital reporting tools (laptops/tablets).
*Liaise with tenants, housing officers, or property managers to ensure smooth access and communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
*Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
*2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification & ECS card essential.
*Strong understanding of domestic electrical systems.
*Ability to work independently across multiple properties per day.
*Good communication and digital reporting skills.
