Accounts Assistant Job OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a growing business and support both the finance and service operations teams with day-to-day administrative and accounting tasks.

This is a varied Accounts Assistant role that goes beyond traditional finance duties. Alongside invoicing and accounts administration, you’ll also support operational processes such as service coordination, engineer job administration and customer queries.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities Finance & Accounts Duties*Processing sales invoices and purchase invoices
*Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
*Completing bank reconciliations
*Assisting with supplier payment runs
*Supporting credit control activities
*Processing credit card receipts and expense records
*Assisting with engineer timesheets and payroll administration
*Conducting credit checks for new customers
*Supporting warranty claims administration
Administrative & Operational Support*Managing service-related administration
*Processing engineer job sheets
*Uploading invoices and documents to customer portals
*Handling service and admin queries
*Raising quotes for repair work and parts
*Ordering spare parts and stock
*Maintaining engineer van stock records
Accounts Assistant Requirements Essential Skills & Experience*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Accounts Administrator role
*Experience processing sales ledger and purchase ledger invoices
*Strong administration and organisational skills
*High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
*Comfortable speaking with customers and colleagues over the phone
*Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
Desirable Experience*Exposure to credit control or payment runs
*Experience in a service, engineering, logistics or operational environment
*Experience using accounting or ERP systems
