Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Accountant with the ambition to progress into a Client Manager role.

The Role


This role is designed to develop into a Client Manager position, where you will ultimately manage your own portfolio of clients.


Initially, your responsibilities will include:


• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Producing management accounts
• Corporation tax and personal tax compliance
• Supporting clients with Xero and other cloud accounting software
• Client onboarding and cloud system set-up
• Communicating directly with clients and answering queries
• Supporting the senior team with advisory work


Over time, the role will develop into managing your own client portfolio and acting as a trusted adviser to business owners.




About You


We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working closely with clients.


You should have:


• Minimum 3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for limited companies
• Experience with VAT returns and management accounts
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Ideally you will also be:


• AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified or studying
• Xero certified (preferred but not essential)
• Familiar with practice software such as IRIS


Most importantly, you will enjoy building relationships with clients and helping businesses succeed.
