Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the role include:
*Managing your owncaseload of probate and estate administration matters from initial instructionthrough to final distribution.
*Advising clientson probate, inheritance tax and other private-client issues.
*Drafting andreviewing legal documentation such as estate accounts, IHT forms andapplications for grants.
*Maintainingcompliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internalgovernance standards.
*Supporting juniorteam members and offering guidance where needed.
*Working withcolleagues in product, technology and customer-facing teams to refine andimprove service delivery.
*Contributing tooperational and process-improvement projects, including those involvingLegal-tech and AI solutions.
*Handlingsensitive conversations with clients in a clear, professional and empatheticway.
*Representing thelegal team in cross-departmental initiatives and managing escalated matterswhen required.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualifiedprofessional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, England & Wales) withat least a year of experience in probate or wider private-client work.
*Someone whoenjoys working in a dynamic environment and is motivated by the evolvinglandscape of legal service delivery.
*An assuredcommunicator who can guide clients through delicate situations with patience,clarity and understanding.
*Demonstratedbackground in overseeing probate and estate-administration matters from startto finish.
*Confidence indealing with more complex or higher-value estates independently.
*A proactivecollaborator who values contributing to a supportive, positive teamenvironment.
