Science Teacher (Physics Specialism)
Location: Watford
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join a secondary school in Watford for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and well-resourced science department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Physics, and will play an active role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing curiosity and confidence in the subject.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
*Teach Physics as a specialism and contribute to the wider Science curriculum
*Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
*Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
*Contribute to the wider life of the school and the development of the Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*A degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline
*Experience teaching Science at secondary level
*Strong subject knowledge in Physics
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills
*A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student progress
