EYFS Teaching Assistant (Autism / Non-Verbal Support)


Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them communicate, engage and thrive? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team in a rewarding long-term role starting ASAP.


As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused support to a Reception pupil with non-verbal Autism (ASD) during a structured 90-minute daily timetable. You will work alongside another adult to provide consistent support, helping the child engage with activities, develop communication strategies and feel safe within the school environment.


For the remainder of the day, you will support the wider EYFS and Year 1 classes, delivering targeted interventions and small-group support to help raise attainment and support students with additional needs.


This role would suit someone with strong experience supporting non-verbal children with Autism, who is patient, proactive and passionate about early years development.

*Provide 1:1 support for a Reception student with non-verbal Autism (ASD)
*Work collaboratively with another adult provide support

*Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

*Full-time / Term Time Only
*£105 - £120 per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Strong experience supporting non-verbal children with Autism (ASD)
*Background in EYFS, SEN, Speech & Language or behavioural support is highly desirable
*Confident supporting children with communication difficulties and sensory needs
*Patient, nurturing and proactive approach to supporting learning
*Ability to build trusting relationships with young children
*Passionate about making a meaningful difference in early years education
