The aviation division writes a diverse portfolio of risks across Airline, General Aviation and Aerospace, supported by an experienced underwriting team and strong broker relationships within the Lloyd’s and company market.

The Role

The successful candidate will join the aviation underwriting team and support the management and growth of the aviation portfolio. The role will involve underwriting both new and renewal business, maintaining strong broker relationships, and ensuring the portfolio remains profitable and well managed.

The position offers strong exposure to London Market aviation risks, providing opportunities to develop technical expertise while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite new and renewal aviation risks across Airline, General Aviation and Aerospace sectors

Develop and maintain strong broker relationships within the London Market

Assess risk exposures, pricing structures and coverage requirements

Manage and monitor a portfolio of aviation accounts to ensure profitability and growth

Review and analyse underwriting data, claims trends and market developments

Work closely with internal teams including claims, actuarial, compliance and operations

Attend broker meetings and market engagements to support business development

Contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio development

Experience & Knowledge

Previous experience within aviation underwriting in the London Market

Understanding of airline, general aviation or aerospace risks

Experience underwriting new business and renewals

Strong knowledge of London Market processes and broker relationships

Commercial mindset with the ability to assess and price risk appropriately

Strong analytical and underwriting capabilities

Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced market environment
